Teak & Solid Hardwood Outdoor Furniture - We offer 3 Years Residential and 2 Years Commercial on teak products to be free of manufacturing defects on the structural construction and component of the build. Defects as used in this warranty are defined as imperfections which affect the structural integrity of the product. This warranty is recommended to be passed to original purchasing customer only, at the time of sale, and does not include or cover damages caused by improper assembly, modifications such as teak oiling or staining after purchase, intentional damage, accident, misuse, abuse or negligence. Normal wear and tear such as checking or weathering, hair crack splinters and damage caused by the direct effect of weather related conditions including greying are not included. Natural wood products can have color and grain variations, and are not considered a "defect" under warranty.

 

Aluminum Metal - We offer 3 Years Residential and 2 Years Commercial on aluminum metal products to be free of manufacturing defects on the structural construction and component of the build. Defects as used in this warranty are defined as imperfections which affect the structural integrity of the product. This warranty is recommended to be passed to original purchasing customer only, at the time of sale, and does not include or cover damages caused by improper assembly, modifications after purchase, intentional damage, accident, misuse, abuse or negligence or normal wear and tear such as checking or scratches caused by the direct effect of weather related conditions.

 

Indoor Mahogany- We offer 3 Years Residential and 2 Years Commercial on Indoor Mahogany (Versailles) products to be free of manufacturing defects on the structural construction and component of the build. Defects as used in this warranty are defined as imperfections which affect the structural integrity of the product. This warranty is recommended to be passed to customer only, at the time of sale, and does not include or cover damages caused by improper assembly, modifications after purchase, intentional damage, accident, misuse, abuse or negligence or normal wear and tear such as checking or scratches. Warranty is void if used for outdoors.

 

Cast Limestone - We offer 3 Years Residential and 2 Years Commercial on Cast Limestone products to be free of manufacturing defects on the structural construction and component of the build. Defects as used in this warranty are defined as imperfections which affect the structural integrity of the product and its overall use including structural cracking. This warranty is recommended to be passed to original purchasing customer only, at the time of sale, and does not include or cover damages caused by modifications after purchase, intentional damage, accident, misuse, abuse or negligence or normal wear and tear such as checking caused by the direct effect of weather related conditions including greying and or color variations.

 

Outdoor Mahogany - We offer 3 Years Residential and 2 Years Commercial on Outdoor Mahogany (Heritage) products to be free of manufacturing defects on the structural construction and component of the build. Defects as used in this warranty are defined as imperfections which affect the structural integrity of the product. This warranty is recommended to be passed to original purchasing customer only, at the time of sale, and does not include or cover damages caused by improper assembly, modifications after purchase, intentional damage, accident, misuse, abuse or negligence or normal wear and tear such as checking or scratches caused by the direct effect of weather related conditions including greying and or color variations.

 

Cushions and Fabrics - We offer 3 Years Residential and 2 Years Commercial on Cushion and Sunbrella Fabrics on the stitching and sewing of the product. Anderson Teak uses Sunbrella Fabric and Outdoor foam made in the USA. The warranty for Sunbrella Fabrics can be found at https://www.sunbrella.com/sunbrella-fabric-difference. Sunbrella is a Water repellant material not Waterproof. Rain and moisture can seep through the stitching seams which may occur during prolonged wet periods or heavy downpours, especially when under direct exposure to these conditions without a cushion cover or not under direct shade or roof covering. If this happens, the cushions may be dried by standing them on end and opening the zippers. This is considered a maintenance issue, and not a warranty issue. Before placing any cushions on Teak furniture, remove any leftover manufacturing dust or dirt from the teak furniture by wiping down with a damp cloth. Your premium teak furniture has been fine sanded and there may be some fine residue even after cleaning during the manufacture process, especially on the seats of the furniture. Wipe down the seats of the furniture especially when using White Colored and Light Colored Sunbrella Fabrics. Your teak furniture naturally contains and secretes teak oil. Expect some of this to bleed during the first few rainfalls or from just mere contact against white and light colored cushions. If marks occur, remove by lightly scrubbing with sponge, warm water, and a dishwashing liquid. You can remove the stains while the covers are on the cushion. If you would like to remove the covers to clean in a washer that is fine, but air dry rather than putting them in the drier. Cushion orders are final and non-refundable.

 

What The Warranties Do not Cover
  - Caused by abusive use 
  - Caused by lack of reasonable use or necessary care as well as maintenance 
  - Worn out and fading due to exposure to ocean air (when use at beach area) 
  - Normal fading of fabrics or upholstery materials  
  - Changes in wood color due to natural aging of the wood or sunlight exposure 
  - Breaking of table tops caused by umbrella 
  - Glass tabletops
  - Cracking of tubing due to high pressure to water or freezing temperatures
  - Wind damage 
  - Acts of Nature

Warranty and Proof of Purchase
Proof of purchase is required with the valid date of warranty only from the original buyer. Pictures or other proof may also be required to claim the warranty.

Limitation and Exceptions 
All Products
These Limited Warranties provide coverage to the original purchaser and do not apply to rented use. These Limited Warranties do not apply to any merchandise purchased “as is” or second-hand nor to any merchandise purchased at a distress sale, going-out-of business sale, or from a liquidator. All warranties, express and implied, cover only normal usage. No warranty, express or implied, applies to any condition resulting from misuse or abuse, or any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance, cleaning, or care.

If you're not satisfied with our product, let us know and we'll make it right. Within 30 days, we'll gladly replace it, refund your money (excluding delivery and restocking charges*) or credit you for our other items. After 30 days items may be exchanged for the same product or for merchandise credit (excluding delivery and restocking charges*).

Remedy
Under these Limited Warranties, the sole liability of Anderson is limited to repair, or at its option, replacement. Anderson will pay, within one year from the date of purchase, reasonable and customary labor rates to repair or replace the defective parts excluding shipping costs from the retailer to and from Anderson to the original purchaser. After one year from the date of purchase, the purchaser will be responsible for labor, packing, and all shipping and transportation costs. If within the warranty period, identical materials are unavailable at the time of repair or replacement, Anderson reserves the right to substitute materials of equal or better quality. Replacement fabrics may vary in color from the original due to dye lot differences. 

Fabrics
The fabric warranties do not cover any damage or failure of the fabric where there is evidence of excessive soiling, improper cleaning, or chemical treatment with any protective coating by the dealer or consumer, and use of such treatment voids all warranties.

These Limited Warranties do not cover any damage to or failure of the finish resulting from alcohol or water damage, exposure to sunlight, household humidity, or incorrect application of chemical treatment or any protective coating by the dealer or consumer.

Implied Warranties
Implied warranties, including any of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose imposed on the sale of this furniture and it parts under state law, are limited to the following duration. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

 

Will I be covered for damages caused from shipping?

If damage occurs during shipping, we will work with customer to assess the damages through pictures and Anderson Teak will file a claim to trucking company for any damages caused by transit. At the time of receiving the products a brief outer inspection should be made to check for visible box damage caused by shipping carrier and noted to driver with driver name, signature and date along with picture/documentation. This information will be used to file a claim. Damages caused by shipping are in no way customer fault and customer will be fully covered with remedy from manufacture and or trucking carrier.

 

How do I file a warranty claim with Modern Haus?

Simply call or preferably email at info@modernhausfurniture.com with pictures and a written explanation and a representative will get back to you with an answer, remedy, and or recommendations.

 

Are there any other documents or boxes I should keep in case of any returns on warranty?

We recommend preserving the packaging boxes and to open the boxes so as not to damage the boxes from ripping or tearing and refrain from any marks or writing on the boxes, for any future returns and or future use of the carton boxes that might be needed.
